Hello, this is my fist post...im new to your forum and roof sales. Been reading and learning so thx 4 that.

Desk Adjuster in response to my telling him roofs on either side being bought by same insurance co (allstate) "I cant tell you why some houses right in the middle of a storm area dont get any damage." then a reference to the weather.

Heres the scenario:

8 bldg apartment community, various owners, all insured by allstate. bldgs 1 thru 4, owner #1, bought by 1st field adjuster. got new a/c all around even adj didnt even call for comb outs.

i was out of state so a coworker meet this adjuster, i coordinated 3 bldgs with same adj, same day. Remember Im new so I dont think I have any more pull than my stand in. bldg 5, owner #2, roof not bought, a/c bought bldg 6, owner #3, roof not bought, a/c bought bldg 7, owner #4, roof not bought, a/c bought. bldg 8, owner #5, unable to reach.

wtf? right. ugh. so owners 2 3 $ 4 agree to go for reinspect. adj calls and wants to know why i feel it is warranted so i give him the above scenario. his response above.

any input appreciated.

I have been in the business for nearly 20 years and have come across this myself. I find it is better to try and stay fair with the adjuster. Point out damages when present. Look for the true impact marks from hail. Some homes may sit differently and do not receive the same damages as their neighbors or may have trees in the area to block the home from hail or wind... Working with the adjusters and building a relationship will be beneficial in the future. I have received lots of referrals and work from local adjusters. Some even buy the roofs knowing I will be doing the repairs and in return if a home has marginal damages I agree they may not need a new roof.

I know the problem with this situation...

IT'S allstate.

Here in Minnesota they are very well known for the worst of the worst. I hate them and won't work any claims with them. Even big houses with big roofs get treated like trailer park trash from the adjusters.

No shock they are rated #1 on badfaithinsurance.org on the BAD LIST.

all in all i admit i havent been trained properly but ive learned quickly...won most thus far.

q? doesnt the contractor (or h/o representative) have to be present for reinspection to argue their side? that was always what i thought 2b true til 2day.

bldg 5 gets call fr ins, he calls me, i call ins (see 1st post, ikr?), ins tells me h/o needs to give consent. i tell h/o, etc...adj calls 2day to schedule. all good so far.

bldg 6. i call h/o n let him know bldg 5 (his buddy) got ins call and if he wants to call insurance...etc.

bldg 7. havent heard a thing so decide to call her 2day. she calls back, tells me ins called last week and said they were gonna reinspect last sun! huh? she didnt know to tell me, she elderly so not her bad. mine cuz i assumed i had 2b present n ins wld get contractors info. heck, i sent in estimate n signed contract. they usually call me 2 schedule. baffled, yet again! how should i move forward?

yeesh (smh)

very grateful for input.

well dang, i was hoping for some ammo! lol

was planning on taking the approved allstate claim report from first 4 bldgs to reinspect for my 3 denied. wont help, aye?

show up early, square and circle.....and argue.

oh the desk adjuster said field adj gets paid more when they buy it so that was further proof on his end there was no damage. twit! the deny team has been in town a couple mths now so i hope theyve moved on to other areas net to get denied. lol

thanks for the response.
