The Greater Midland Community Center has been a cornerstone of the community since 1919, offering recreational, social and fitness services to residents of all ages. After decades of operation, the current facility, built in 1954, had outlived its usefulness. With an outdated, energy-inefficient design that included large amounts of unused space, the decision was made and funds were raised to replace the building with a 140,000 square-foot, stateof-the-art facility featuring classrooms and meeting rooms, a gymnasium, track, recreation areas and a swimming pool.
