Saskatchewan Roofing Contractors Association
Established in 1963, Sask Roofing Contractors Association members support architects and construction professionals with a full understanding of commercial and industrial roofing products, techniques and technologies. As the client of an SRCA member, customers benefit from professionalism based on years of practical, hands-on experience.
SRCA members help customers find optimal roofing solutions for commercial or industrial construction and renovation projects. The association’s mission is delivering roofing knowledge to construction professionals through real-world experience and value-added solutions. Its core values include being the principal voice of the roofing industry in Saskatchewan, encouraging safe work practices and enhancing the roofing industry in Saskatchewan.
Membership
Joining Sask Roofing Contractors Association gives qualified businesses access to an association that supports architects and construction professionals with a full understanding of commercial and industrial roofing products, techniques and technologies. SRCA membership is available in five primary categories — active, associate, industry, international and honorary — and members are part of an organization actively involved in projects that support the community and roofing industry in Saskatchewan, including the Saskatchewan Roofing Apprenticeship Program, the Roofing Apprenticeship Bursary, the SRCA Post Secondary Scholarship, support of Habitat for Humanity and membership and committee involvement with the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association, Saskatchewan Construction Association and Trade Advisory Board.
"Roof of the Year" awards
The “Roof of the Year” Award program recognizes SRCA members for outstanding workmanship, innovation, service to the community and service to the industry in Sask. It is sponsored by the Saskatchewan Roofing Contractors’ Association (SRCA). All entries will be recognized by their peers for their significant contribution to the roofing industry.
Workmanship: Outstanding workmanship in a roofing application by a contractor and roofing crew. This can include a particularly challenging job, difficult design job, extraordinary working conditions, difficulty of application of materials used, etc.
Innovation: innovative solutions can include innovative project solutions to challenging jobs, smart solutions to a problem, special safety considerations, environmentally friendly projects, etc.
Service to the community: Service to the community can be a project where materials and/or time were donated to a worthy project that benefits the community.
Service to the industry: Service to the industry may include a significant contribution made to the roofing industry overall in Saskatchewan.
National Torch Safety Program
SRCA is an authorized provider of the CRCA National Torch Safety Program released in 2019 and is available to SRCA MEMBERS ONLY.
The CRCA National Torch Safety Program promotes safe torch practices in the workplace and provides up to date information on specific safety training for workers. The classroom training is designed in five modules to improve awareness, recognition and knowledge of safe work practices as well as common rooftop hazards and danger points. Graduates of the program receive a Torch Safety certificate issued through SRCA in Saskatchewan.
