Free APOC Webinar: To Replace or Restore?

ICP - Webinar - To Restore or Replace?

Join us and Building Enclosure on October 27th at 2 pm ET for a free webinar where we’ll help you determine if restoration is right for your next project including a review of what to look for and how to conduct a proper roof evaluation when it comes to restoration.

CoverCommercial roof restoration can be an effective, economical and sustainable option to bring a roof back to its full potential, in instances when a full tear-off is not feasible or not warranted. We’ll help you determine if restoration is right for your next project including a review of what to look for and how to conduct a proper roof evaluation when it comes to restoration. We’ll discuss some considerations after your initial findings like ‘when will this project take place, what other projects are in the queue for your business and are there any plans to expand the building in the future.’ Lastly, we’ll talk about specific steps to proper and lasting roof restoration. In today's environment, a building structure that lasts indicates true sustainability and roof coatings and restoration practices can help extend the life of a building, but may not be a fit for all structures. This course allows you to make the right determination.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Review common commercial roof failures in single-ply, built-up/asphalt and metal roofing as well as a highlight of the options to resolve the issues.
  2. Establish how the determination should be made whether or not the roof is a candidate for restoration including which assessment and testing techniques to specify.
  3. Collect a sample of questions to ask the facility owner or manager about the use of the structure and surrounding variables which may dictate the choice to replace or restore.
  4. Develop an understanding of roof restoration best practices and when to employ them.
