Foremen and superintendents can expertly install roof systems, but how many possess an equal level of leadership, communication and management skills needed to run their crews effectively?
To help address this skills gap, NRCA’s Foreman Leadership Training teaches the skills and communication techniques needed to be a successful middle manager and uses interactive exercises to help participants become more effective crew leaders.
After participating in this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify when to manage and when to lead
- Identify positive and negative approaches to communication
- Recognize their own communication styles
- Improve their communication skills
- Articulate specific ways to increase crew productivity
- Increase their job management skills
- Identify steps to improve their own leadership skills
- Implement conflict resolution with employees in discipline situations
- Translate what they have learned to on-the-job situations
