The solar project approval process varies widely from state to state and even city to city, and therefore can be difficult for solar developers, EPCs and installers to navigate. The process is driven by codes and standards, similar to most other construction projects. The panelists joining S-5! for this roundtable represent technical experts from a mounting system manufacturer and a solar developer who has navigated through many permitting processes. They will summarize the permitting process, discuss how various manufacturers fit into the mix and explain how their tools and data are utilized to gain successful approvals.
