The Roofing Alliance Announces Gold Circle Finalists

Outstanding workmanship, innovations and safety projects will be recognized.

The Roofing Alliance, the foundation of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), proudly announces the finalists of the prestigious Gold Circle Awards honoring outstanding contributions and unique roofing-related jobs and services. Award winners will be recognized at NRCA’s Industry Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception, February 12, 2019, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the 2019 International Roofing Expo® (IRE) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Roofing Alliance and NRCA members are encouraged every year to submit their best work in the following categories: Outstanding Workmanship; Innovative Solutions; and Safety Preparedness and Performance. More than 99 winning companies have been recognized for their achievements since the award’s inception.

Gold Circle Awards and Finalists Include:

Outstanding Workmanship - Finalists submitted particularly challenging jobs including difficult design jobs, abnormal working conditions and difficult materials that were used to showcase their work.

Company – Architectural Sheet Metal, Inc., Orlando, FL
Project – OIA South APM, Orlando, FL

Company – Hayden Building Maintenance. Corp., West Nyack, NY
Project – 16 ColtsFoot Glen, Saddle River, NY

Company – Mahan Slate Roofing Co., Inc., Agawam, MA
Project – Dartmouth College Baker Tower Renovations, Hanover, NH

Company – Murr & Laney Inc., Pineville, NC
Project – Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Cathedral, Charlotte, NC

Company – Renaissance Roofing, Inc., Rockford, IL
Project – Cascade Courthouse, Copper Roof Replacement & Exterior Repair, Great Falls, MT

Innovative Solutions - Finalists submitted particularly difficult jobs where they found smart solutions to difficult problems along with a focus on installations of environmentally friendly projects. They focused their submittals on overall innovation.

Company – Ruff Roofers, Inc., Baltimore, MD
Project – The Peale Center Roof Replacement + Masonry Restoration, Baltimore, MD

Company – Tecta America Zero Company, Cincinnati, OH
Project – Shakespeare Theater, Cincinnati, OH

Safety Preparedness and Performance - Safety is paramount in roofing, and the finalists exemplified excellent safety preparedness including specific safety considerations, written safety plans created after selection, safety integration into unique job elements, important revisions, plans for fall prevention and safety policies and/or procedures that were revised/created as a result of a post-job safety review.

Company – Nations Roof of Ohio, LLC, Springboro, OH
Project – Alcoa, Lafayette, IN

Company – Nations Roof of Villa Park, Villa Park, IL
Project – Rolls Royce North American Headquarters, Indianapolis, IN

All entries were evaluated by a panel of judges within the roofing industry. The highest-ranking entries were determined the winners. Gold Circle Award winners will receive formal recognition during a special awards ceremony held during NRCA's 132nd Annual, a Gold Circle Awards trophy, recognition in Professional Roofing magazine, press releases notifying industry trade press and local media and the honor of serving as inspiration to fellow Roofing Alliance and NRCA members striving for excellence.
