SPRI announces plans to revise detection and location of latent moisture in building roofing systems by nuclear radioisotopic thermalization

SPRI, the association representing sheet membrane and component suppliers to the commercial roofing industry, announced that SPRI NT-1 “Detection and Location of Latent Moisture in Building Roofing Systems by Nuclear Radioisotopic Thermalization” is being revised and will be re-canvassed for approval as an American National Standard.

This standard provides a minimum set of procedures for conducting surveys of moisture in membrane roofing systems and for the analysis of the data obtained in such surveys. Included are operating, verification and reporting procedures, as well as operator qualification criteria.

The NT-1 Standard was first approved as an ANSI standard in 2012. This standard is now undergoing its regular review as required by SPRI’s ANSI procedures.
