Jane Reilly (93) passed away on August 30, 2023 in Littleton, Colorado.
In 1971, Jane and Ed Reilly (CRA's 2004 Lifetime Achievement winner) settled into their home of 47 years in Littleton, Colorado.
Ed worked for Johns Manville for 29 years and then for Tamko Roofing Products for 19 years as a salesman and a sales manager, and so much more. Jane was a constant by his side, and many in Colorado's roofing industry came to know and love her.
Once settled in Colorado, they became avid fans of the Rockies, Nuggets and their beloved Broncos. In Denver, Jane continued to be very active with the Kiwis (organization for "retired" airline stewardesses that engage in charitable service), as well as helping to establish a passenger service program for American Airlines at Stapleton Airport and Denver International Airport. She worked as a tour director for Maritz and S & H Travel. She was a real estate agent for 20 years.
Jane had a special way of connecting with people and welcoming them into her family. In addition to taking in students and athletes from out of town, her Thanksgiving dinners hosted musicians and professional athletes and was welcome to anyone who needed a place to go. This generosity and welcoming spirit followed her throughout her life.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband (Ed); and her beloved son Gregory. She is survived by her son Edward Jr. (Joanne) of Bronxville, NY; daughter Ellen Dawe (Richard) of Sugarloaf Key, Fl.; son Christopher Reilly (Tina) of Littleton, CO. Grandchildren Edward III, Kathryn, Jennifer, Michael, Jack, Elle, Meghan, Nicholas; step-grandchildren Heidi, Tiffany and Toni Dawe; 19 great-grandchildren.
Jane was the nicest and most sincere of ladies, and we were blessed to know her and count her as part of the roofing community. May she rest in peace.
