Remembering Greg Honey

greg honey - beacon sales - in memoriam - june 2023
June 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of Greg Honey of Beacon Sales.

Gregory Binns Honey, 52, of Suffield, adoring husband of Elizabeth (Peabody) Honey passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Greg was born in Hartford on July 14, 1970, son of John and Betsy (Thompson) Honey.

He graduated from Granby High School class of 1988. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford.

Greg was employed with Beacon Sales for over 28 years. He was known at work as an extremely positive person and was always there to help his coworkers and customers.

His friends knew Greg as genuinely kind and fun-loving. His infectious smile and laugh made everyone feel welcome. After beating you in a tennis match or game of cornhole, Greg would approach you with a warm handshake, high-five, or hug demonstrating his appreciation of your sharing in an activity he loved.

Greg will truly be missed, especially by his loving wife Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Honey of 27 years; son Alex Honey; and daughter Abby Honey, all of Suffield; parents John and Betsy Honey of North Falmouth, Massachusetts; brother Jason Honey and his wife Denise of Ashland, Massachusetts; sister-in-law Paige Wagner of Allentown, Pennsylvania; brother-in-law Mark Peabody and his wife Brecky of Arlington, Massachusetts; nieces and nephews Vanessa, Amanda, Ryan, Dusty, Kaitlyn Otero and her husband Alex.

The Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. at First Church of Christ Congregational, 81 High Street, Suffield CT 06078. Please Meet at the Church. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, July 6 from 2:00-4:00, and 6:00-8:00PM at the Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, W. Suffield.

Memorial Donation may be made to: American Cancer Society
