NRLRC announces new board of directors

The National Roofing Legal Resource Center (NRLRC) has announced the members of its 2018-19 board of directors.

John Embow, president of Grove Roofing Services Inc., Buffalo, N.Y., is president; Matthew Leonard, vice president of Architectural Sheet Metal Inc., Orlando, Fla., is vice president; and Kelly Braddy Van Winkle, vice president of contracts for King of Texas Roofing Co. LP, Grand Prairie, is immediate former president.

Directors include Luke Duffy, vice president of Elens & Maichin Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc., Joliet, Ill.; Michael Johannes, president of Nations Roof, Yonkers, N.Y.; Sherri Miles-Foley, vice president of J.D. Miles & Sons Inc., Chesapeake, Va.; George Patterson, president of Bennett & Brosseau Roofing Inc., Romeoville, Ill.; Rodney Petrick, president and owner of Ridgeworth Roofing Co. Inc., Frankfort, Ill.; Brad Sutter, executive vice president of Sutter Roofing Co. of Florida, Sarasota; and Robert Therrien Jr., president of The Melanson Co. Inc., Keene, N.H. All terms began June 1.

The National Roofing Legal Resource Center (NRLRC) is open to NRCA roofing, roof deck and waterproofing contractors and acts as a legal advocate for roofing contractors throughout the U.S. Issues such as contract language, employee relations, regulatory compliance, payment provisions, insurance coverage, and codes and standard can threaten a contractor's profitability and even its existence. NRLRC provides its members with assistance in addressing issues such as these, ultimately saving them time and legal fees.
