NRCA Plans Roofing Day in D.C. 2020, All Industry Stakeholders Encouraged to Participate

The roofing industry will come together for Roofing Day in D.C. 2020 April 21-22. It's an event that helps to elevate the image of the industry and educate political leaders on Capitol Hill.

Roofing contractors, distributors, manufacturers and other industry professionals from throughout the U.S. are needed to voice the industry’s priorities to Congress. It can be a game changer when members of Congress see and hear from roofing professionals about the critical issues facing the roofing industry.

All roofing professionals are urged to participate and consider bringing one or more employees.

Roofing Day in D.C. is the largest advocacy event dedicated solely to the roofing industry. Stakeholders in attendance will visit with members of Congress to advocate for the roofing industry regarding issues on which there is broad consensus: increased funding for career and technical education programs; immigration reform that meets the roofing industry's workforce needs; legislation to advance the use of energy-efficiency technologies; and legislation to prohibit reverse auctions in federal construction procurement.

Additionally, NRCA, National Women in Roofing and California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce will hold the inaugural Diversity + Inclusion Forum April 21 in Washington, D.C., preceding Roofing Day in D.C. 2020.
