For over 120 years, the National Roofing Contractors Association has been dedicated to the success and professionalism of the roofing industry. The ProCertification program is just one way they’re doing this. The goals of ProCertification are to:
Create a career path for industry field workers
Elevate the roofing industry to be on par with other trade professions that currently offer national certifications
Address the workforce shortage by making the roofing industry more appealing
Protect consumers by providing national, professional certifications for those doing work on their home or building
Educate consumers on the value of hiring a NRCA ProCertified roof system installer
Increase consumer confidence that workers have the knowledge and skills to do the job well
As businesses look for ways to grow in the ever-evolving roofing industry, it’s vital to find ways for workers to grow too. Existing, experienced and new workers will benefit from this program, which is offered in both English and Spanish. “We want roofing employees to have successful, long-lasting careers. As business owners look at the benefits of certifying their workforce, they quickly realize it can dramatically and positively affect company success, culture, retention and recruitment,” shares Jared Ribble, the current Director of Qualified Trainer and ProCertification programs for NRCA.
ProCertification is a way to measure the skills of an already experienced and proficient worker, providing them with a way to become certified in specific roof systems installations. This certification recognizes workers expertise, instills worker pride and promotes professionalism. “When you invest in your workers, you show them you appreciate their knowledge and skills set and want them to have successful careers with your company. By certifying your workforce, you demonstrate your commitment to professionalism, quality and your employees’ futures while also providing your company with a significant competitive advantage,” explains Jared.
The ProCertification program helps elevate workers’ skills and differentiates a company. Doing business with a ProCertified worker provides customers with an additional layer of confidence and protection. ProCertified workers have a dramatic and positive effect on a company.
