NRCA, through its Washington, D.C., office, works full time to influence the federal government to be responsive to the roofing industry's needs. It is even more powerful when there is direct communication from constituents to their lawmakers—it ensures constituents' voices are heard and leads to building and sustaining long-term relationships.

This one-hour webinar will focus on the benefits of expressing your ideas to your government representatives and making a difference in Washington, D.C., on behalf of your business and industry. The presenters also will include information about the industry's push to collectively influence Congress during Roofing Day in D.C. 2019 April 3-4.

This free, live webinar will feature:

  1. McKay Daniels, NRCA COO, who has nearly 20 years of management experience and most recently served in Washington, D.C. as chief of staff for two members of Congress before joining NRCA in June.

  2. Duane Musser, NRCA vice president of government relations, oversees and directs the association's work on government policy and political matters. Duane joined the NRCA staff in 2008 as senior director of federal affairs and assumed the responsibilities of vice president of government relations in 2009.

  3. Nathan Pick, NRCA's director of advocacy and political affairs in Washington, D.C. who joined NRCA's staff after working on George Allen's 2012 U.S. Senate campaign and assisted other state and federal political candidates. Pick also has experience working as a state affairs manager for taxpayer advocacy group Americans for Tax Reform.

  4. Teri Dorn, NRCA's director of federal affairs who joined NRCA's staff after working for Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) and NRCA CEO Reid Ribble while he was a congressman.
