GAF, North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, today announced new roles to support operations at its new shingles manufacturing facility in Newton, Kansas. Current openings include a variety of roles and expertise such as production operator, production planner, asphalt yard operator, process engineer, reliability engineer, frontline maintenance workforce, warehouse and shipping supervisor, driver services coordinator, among others.
Backed by more than a century of shingle manufacturing experience, the Newton facility represents a significant investment in Kansas manufacturing and is expected to create more than 130 high-skilled jobs in the region as the plant moves toward production. GAF is building a workforce that will support long-term operations while contributing to the economic growth of Harvey County and the surrounding community.

Additional roles are expected to open as the facility continues to scale toward operational readiness. Production at the Newton facility is anticipated to begin in 2027, with the plant expected to reach full production capacity by mid-2029.
