The EPDM Roofing Association (ERA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dev Barpanda, vice president of research and development at Amrize Building Envelope, as chair of the ERA Board of Directors. Barpanda succeeds Nick Parent, director of product management at Amrize Building Envelope, who assumed the role following the retirement of former Chair Mike Ducharme. Barpanda’s term as chair will run through June 2027.
Barpanda brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning research and development, innovation strategy and global business growth. Throughout his career, he has led high-performing international R&D teams focused on accelerating the delivery of strategic innovations and advancing specialized materials and technologies through application-driven engineering. He has extensive experience in new product development, commercialization, strategic planning and innovation management across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
“We’re excited to have Dev serve as ERA’s new Chair,” said Ellen Thorp, executive director of the EPDM Roofing Association. “His expertise in research and development, combined with his strategic leadership and industry insight, will be invaluable as ERA continues to advance the role of EPDM in the broader roofing industry.”
“I’m looking forward to collaborating with the board and contributing as chair to the vital role ERA plays in championing the EPDM roofing industry,” said Barpanda.
