Duro-Last, a member of the Amrize family of brands and a leading manufacturer of custom-fabricated single-ply roofing systems, celebrated a major milestone Thursday with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its eighth manufacturing facility in North America. The 103,000-square-foot Kernersville, North Carolina, facility produces Duro-Last custom-fabricated membrane as well as custom accessories and edge details for thermoplastic single-ply commercial roofing installations.
The event brought together Duro-Last contractor partners, vendor representatives, community members and local dignitaries, including Kernersville and Forsyth County leaders and North Carolina State Senator Dana Caudill Jones. Highlights included a contractor-focused vendor showcase, plant tours and a ribbon-cutting ceremony that underscored Duro-Last’s ongoing commitment to innovation, quality and customer success.
“The Kernersville facility represents more than expansion; it’s an investment in our contractors and the communities we serve,” said Duro-Last president Darren Schulz. “This location strengthens product availability, improves logistics and gives our contractors another space to connect with their customers to showcase why Duro-Last has earned the reputation of the ‘World’s Best Roof®.’ It’s truly designed to be an extension of their operations and a testament to how deeply we value our unique contractor partnerships.”
As part of the Amrize family of brands, Duro-Last continues to advance a broader mission of delivering local responsiveness with national scale. The new facility reflects the company’s commitment to manufacturing excellence, innovation and customer service across the building envelope, while contributing to economic growth in the region.
Now fully operational, the Kernersville plant enhances Duro-Last’s operational efficiency and expands its capacity to meet growing demand for high-performance commercial roofing systems throughout the Southeast. The facility will also serve as a resource for contractor training and education, reinforcing Duro-Last’s commitment to empowering partners with the tools and support needed to grow their businesses.
