Bob Behrends Roofing is Proud to Now be a TAMKO MasterCraft Pro Certified Contractor

TAMKO Bob Behrends MasterCraft
October 12, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.

Adding to their list of accreditations, Bob Behrends Roofing in Greeley, Colorado, is now a Tamko MasterCraft Pro Certified Contractor, Tamko's top certification.

There's no shortage of roofing contractors in the Northern Colorado, Front Range area. A Google map search for 'roofing contractors near me' returns well over 100 results in Fort Collins alone. Anybody with a cell phone and an address can show up in Google maps. And, even a somewhat savvy web guru can get around the latter.

However, getting on the list of one of America's top roofing product manufacturers is a little more difficult. Tamko is one of the top asphalt shingle manufacturers in the U.S. They have been making quality roofing products since 1944 and their roofing products are trusted by millions of Americans.

To become Tamko certified, there is a strict application process. This includes a thorough background check, which verifies Bob Behrends Roofing is in fact real, their number of years in service, that there are no personal or business bankruptcies, and no legal actions or judgments. Bob Behrends must also show they maintain state and local insurance and license requirements. They also must go through Tamko-specific product training, industry standards testing and annual re-testing.

"This process is not unusual," says Doug Kerstetter, sales manager at Bob Behrends Roofing. "To be an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Roofing Contractor and a CertainTeed ShingleMaster, we went through a similar process." These are the two other accreditations Bob Behrends maintains.

Bob Behrends Roofing is one of the very few roofing companies in Northern Colorado that are 'Top of the House Certified' and 'SureNail Trained' from Owens Corning, and one of the longest-running CertainTeed ShingleMaster accredited roofing companies in the Northern Colorado area - since 2005.

"There are benefits to hiring a certified contractor. That's why we put ourselves through this process," continues Doug. "When you hire a certified roofing contractor, you get peace of mind knowing that we know what we're doing. In addition, our customers have access to THREE enhanced shingle warranties and optional roof system upgrades because of our new Tamko MasterCraft Pro Certified Contractor status."

When homeowners research which roofing company to hire, it's good to look at online reviews. But it's also good to visit the roofing product manufacturer's websites, such as Tamko, to verify the roofing company they're considering hiring is certified.
