7 Different Learning Styles and Why it's Important in Roofing.

Think of how much better we will communicate and comprehend if we could figure out our learning styles.

I just saw a cool Facebook post on Dupont™'s page. about learning styles.  I have always been interested in the different ways people think when I kept trying to give directions to a co-worker and she refused to take them, "Just tell me" she would say.  Obviously this was before our present day navigation, but I could not comprehend how she could retain the information. She learned by listening.  Years after an insurance agent friend of mine was taking a class in learning styles.  Why?  Because she needed to ascertain how that person learned so that she could explain their policies to them and they could comprehend it.

We need those kind of classes in the roofing industry.  When we know how an employee learns we can teach him proper techniques on installation.  We can train him on how to be safe on the roof.  Do our current safety training programs take this into consideration?

All of this is extremely important in selling to a client.  When we can communicate to them in a way they can understand we have a better chance of closing that sale.

Think of how much better we will communicate and comprehend if we could figure out how we and others learned.  Thanks Dupont™ for getting us started.

See the different learning styles on the Dupont™ blog here and a quick video on Facebook here.

We are proud to have DUPONT™ TYVEK® PROTEC™ ROOFING UNDERLAYMENT advertised on RoofersCoffeeShop.com
