Yep, I took the ridge caps off a manufactured home the other day that had 12 inch galvanized rolled metal installed across the 60 foot length of the ridge. ( the metal had wrinkles and lifted up spots) and there was substantial debris and a LOT of dead bugs under the caps.
OOps, #2, Durolast !!!! that material has made me so much money repairing it and it will keep on making me money !!!
#3, ??? I'll have to think about this one.
I'm going to agree with you on the ridge vents. the marketing that was done with them was great. but that's about all.
If the customer asks for me to install them, I'll tell them why I don't think its a good idea, if they still want them, I'll install them.
The screen gets clogged up so fast they don't even vent in a couple years. And if the roofers take the screen out, the attic fills up with dirt, snow and bugs !!!
Does exactimate count?
I'm going to disagree with you on synthetic felt. Actually, I'll agree with you on every synthetic except Titanium. I can walk a 10/12 with it no problems. Plus 4' goods and it's toughness make it a winner.
I'd mention one, but I'm looking at the ad at the top of the page!
