Alba Said:Robert Said: The illegals are leaving the state Alba!I think its great hope we can get a similiar law here,im sick of the pandering to illegals by the goverment.Im thinking moving to Alabama now as thier economy is booming, was in florida for labor day weekend and saw nothing but commercials for tradesmen in Alabama!!!!If youre a roofer especially a residential one there is plenty of work because of tornadoes.if youre a contractor trying to put a crew together good luck with that. The contractors were used to hispanic crews that all needed was the address of the property the materials and the job was done.now they got bubbas working for them who constantly dont have gas money nor transportation ,lay out drunk or in jail. They promise to finish the roof by tuesday and next saturday theyre still working on it.
I agree with that sentiment. The hispanics that I see are very hard, conscientious workers. They do want to install the roofing right. They work hard trying to feed their families, just like I did when I was bringing my brood up.
The white guys are basically scammers. They will try to get away with as much as they can while pricing themselves like they do premium work.
Twill, Twill, Twill....That;s what the Pelosi's & bunch want us/them to do....All the while, they continue to pull the strings....
Alba....I can only speak from my own experiences in the western U.S....What you describe was indeed the case 20-30 years ago....However, today, it's quite different....The predominant Mexican illegal workforce is purely opportunistic culture....as one put it; "Their stomaches are in America, but there hearts are in Mexico".
Understanding, there is good/bad in everything....I know of many Mexican illegal's who truly have/are trying to assimilate with the U.S.A. But, sadly,I must admit, the majority prefer diversity, and a lot have obvious contempt for the U.S.A. & it's citizens. It's much bigger than most think. So what we end up with is a half-hearted/insincere workforce.
The irony of it all, is that they, (Mex. illegals), are perpetuating the demise of the middle-class here in the U.S.A. Are we going to allow the U.S.A. to become anoither Mexico? It's headed that way...i.e., protestors on Wall Street/etc...against capitaslism,(I suppose)....They're, (protestors), are bitch'n at the wrong people....It's our gov't. that creates the environment for wall street as well as the illegals to simply do as they please.
Immigrants(not just hispanics) make the best pool of workers for construction trades. Many of them are intelligent young strong easy to manage.Being uprooted from their home countries they lack the connections or credentials to do something better so the construction jobs are a good fit for them.Economy needs the immigrants. The military alone takes away 2 milion people from the private sector.Their places need to be filled somehow.
Alba....Unfortunately, you speak the truth....Yes, the roofing, (applies to most any predominant physical labor type construction trades), workforce has been literally destroyed/polished-off over the last three decades....It will take years to bring it back, once we're allowed to...Until then, it's opportunustic illegals and white trash....

twill The crop picking migrants in my day were mostly blacks. " You must have been born before 1861 lol.
Yup once you start a program it is difficult to get away from it. Yup keep the government working. Trade illegals for legal illegals. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1011/65405.html May be a whole workforce for roofers. Hmmmm B) :) :) B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Near Every Day

Just ordered ten bumper stickers.
TomB Said: To expand on Albaa comment; Crop picking has traditionally been performed by migrant workers, a good portion of whom are/where Mexican seasonal guest workers....& thats just fine....However, those that are privy, (i.e., JSC? chime in here? i.e., San Jouquin Valley - Ceasar Chavez.....), know what were dealing with here, is a whole diffent thing....More attempts by the libs/progressives to distort the reality....
Don't really know what to say except the obvious. We citizens were just fine with temporary seasonal workers picking crops. Then the scenario got complicated when very vocal bhls (bleeding heart liberals)began feeling sorry for the low wages and "bad conditions" they toiled under, even though many braceros were living in govt furnished farm labor camps, complete with childcare and maintenance facilities and sending every excess dollar back to Mexico, where they would fare far better than the average with their USA gotten gains.
Then there is the issue of migrant's children being US citizens if born on our soil, with the access to free services that come with citizenship.
Or, are we talking about the fact that the immigrants didn't LEAVE when their work visa expired (thereby making them ILLEGAL immigrants), and infiltrated many occupations, including of course construction, meat packing, restaurants, etc.?
The repercussions go on and on and on.
twill The crop picking migrants in my day were mostly blacks. Seasonal when the fruit was ready for picking they would show. Singing gospel in the trees alive supporting the local economy with the fruit of their labor. Not sending cash to another country living off the teat of Liberal Democrat progressive social justice agendas. The illegals will go to a host state such as California, Ill etc. As states pass more laws protecting their interest, host states will swell in illegals. Herman Cain makes the most sense to me. Straight thinker, action figure. There are strong examples now in France and Europe where the social agenda has failed miserably .Heading to Gold silver standards.

twill That explains your support and vote for Barack Hussein Obama. What could you expect from a guy who would sit in a congregation and listen to this rhetoric from his pastor Rev Wright...... blacks should not sing "God Bless America" but "God damn America.   suh weet B) :) :) B) Deep Down In Florida Where The Sun Shines Damn Near Every Day
They have a hearing in alabama's capitol.the farmers are complaining that they can't pick their crops now that the mexicans are leaving the state.
