Meet the 12 lucky dogs that will be featured on TRI-BUILT's 2026 calendar. 

Every year, TRI-BUILT hosts a contest looking for the "Top Dogs” of the roofing world. Their team then chooses 12 fetching pups who receive $1,000 to donate to a local rescue of their choice and get featured in the TRI-BUILT annual calendar. Here are this year’s winners that will be gracing a calendar near you!  

January – Tater  

Tater’s human, Zak from Bliss Roofing, shared this with about this adorable dogger, “Tater (as in an Idaho Po-Tater) loves the water, lives for a good game of fetch and has yet to meet a person he couldn’t charm into giving him a belly rub.” 

February – Willa  

As for Willa, she’ll be on your wall in the colder February weeks, which is perfect for this snow-loving pup! Her human is Brennan from CAWC Waterproofing in California.  

March – Maverick  

Maverick, nominated by Leah from Garco Construction, is an adorable little nine-month-old Chocolate Lab. Leah described him as “the best listener and who LOVES to hold socks in his mouth” and “very instinctive when it comes to bird hunting.” 

April – Riley  

Nominated by Jackson of Cranford Contractors Inc, Riley is an adventuring and working lab. Jackson shared, “She comes to work with me every day whether it means hanging in the office or going to jobsites with me.” 

May – Oliver  

Oliver, who just turned one, is a bundle of fun! This pupper loves a good game of tug, playing with kids and, as you can see, all balls belong to Oli! Oliver was nominated by Nicole from Preferred RFG in New York.  

June – Charlie  

This stylish dog is Charlie, and he is ready for anything! His human, Jennifer of Harding Builders Inc, told TRI-BUILT, “He's super athletic and can catch a frisbee like no one's business. He runs fast, jumps high and plays hard. He's a high-performance, action dog.” 

July – Morrison  

We can all hope to be like Morrison this July, chilling on a boat! When he’s not enjoying a cruise, this 14-year-old West Highland Terrier is staying active. Nick and Kendra of Huckle Exteriors Inc, shared some of his adventures, saying, “He loves to go for walks, play ball, pizza night and going for Culvers custard in the truck!” 

August – Jax  

Jax is still a puppy at four-months-old, but he’s already working as a greeter at the Smith & Sons Lumber and is a treasured part of Becki’s family. In fact, his name holds a special place in their hearts, as Becki explained, “My oldest son named him after our second son, Wyatt Jackson, who passed away December 28, 2024, at the age of 21.” 

September – ESPN  

ESPN lives up to her name with all the puppy excitement! Her human, Spencer from First Out Roofing, sent this note in with her picture: “She was rescued from an abandoned barn in Garland, but now she’s living the highlight reel! Named after the sports channel because she’s full of energy, personality and always keeps things exciting.” 

October – Seven  

It might be the tenth month, but Seven is the star of October! Submitted by Viya from ADCO Roofing & Waterproofing, he’s a brave, intelligent and curious Vizsla pup! Viya had this to share about Seven’s story: “He had seven other brothers in his litter all nicknamed after famous western films. Named for ‘The Magnificent Seven,’ he also was nicknamed the ‘escape artist’ by his breeder and the ‘gangster’ by his doggy daycare.” 

November – Maddy 

As for Maddy, this five-year-old Labrador Retriever might not be as rambunctious as some of these pups, but she’s the best coworker you could ask for. Mark of F&F Roofing shared about how she helps around the office, syaing, “She has been coming to work every day since she was a baby. She enjoys sitting in a chair and estimating when she's not causing trouble around the office.” 

December – Banjo  

And last but certainly not least, Banjo will be closing out the 2026 calendar. His human, Jeff of Sexton Roofing & Siding, shared a little about this handsome pup, saying, “Banjo is all drive and heart — a true symbol of the TRI-BUILT spirit. Whether he’s racing through the fields with laser focus or keeping a close eye on the job site, his energy, intelligence and loyalty never quit.”

Learn how the Beacon of Hope program is helping veterans and communities across North America.

Beacon Building Products, the largest publicly traded distributor of roofing, waterproofing and related exterior products in North America, is driven by their mission to “empower their customers to build more for their communities.” In the last six years, one of their big pushes in support of this is their Beacon of Hope program. This is an outreach program directed towards military veterans in both the U.S. and Canada. Through the program, Beacon supplies TRI-BUILT® and CertainTeed to local roofing companies that are then installed on the chosen veterans’ roofs.  

Just this last year (2024), there were 14 deserving veterans chosen for the program, along with two support organizations. Keep reading to learn more about the story of two of these veterans and the organizations that received new roofs!

Larry H. – Madoc, Ontario, Canada  

Larry H. joined the military at 18 years old, fresh out of high school. He served for over 17 years until he retired due to a brain injury received while on tour. Larry was nominated for Beacon of Hope by his brother, David, who became his unofficial caretaker after he returned home. Over the years, Larry’s injury has caused him a variety of issues with his short-term memory. As David put it, “After sacrificing so much it would be great for my brother to be able to receive this opportunity.”

Chris B. – Oromocto, New Brunswick, Canada

Over in New Brunswick, Canada, Brianne Blain nominated her husband Chris for the program. She and Chris have been together for over 15 years and both served in the Canadian Armed Forces. After coming home, they both struggled with mental and physical obstacles from their time serving their country. In addition to those challenges, Brianne and Chris have struggled with rising living costs as they build their family. Brianne explained, “Our family grew to four as we have two amazing children that live with us in the house, and with raising costs, braces, etc., we find it hard to put money elsewhere, such as the roof as it needs repaired. I would love for Chris to be chosen as he always gives back to the community and those in need without expecting anything in return.”

VFW Post 622 – Petersburg, Virginia, U.S.

Heading south, VFW Post 622 in Virginia, U.S. has been serving military veterans and the local community for over a century. They currently have 148 members (and 78 auxiliary members). James G., who nominated Post 622, explained a bit about what the organization does, saying, “Post 622 members support Veterans in need, local schools, community food banks, community wellness programs and recognize First Responders. The Post serves as a meeting place for veterans, auxiliary members, families and local citizens.” It is this community that has been patching a leaking roof for the past few years to keep the facility operating. Receiving the roof from Beacon of Hope means that the organization will be able to better support veterans and the larger community around them.

Sauls Bridges American Legion – Tallahassee, Florida, U.S

Even further south is the Sauls Bridges American Legion Post. Also over a century old, this Post serves thousands of veterans each year. It was nominated by Edward H., who shared a bit of their struggle with a damaged roof, saying, “A past Commander hired an unlicensed contractor to replace our old roof and install a new roof. The State of Florida has gone after the unlicensed contractor, and we are stuck with a leaking roof. We are trying anything and everything to get this roof situation resolved but are coming up short. We need this miracle.”

TRI-BUILT makes major donation to support Veterans and save shelter dogs.

The program saves two lives with each match – a rescue dog, and a Veteran in need. On average, they pair up to 16 Veterans with service dogs each month. To date, K9s For Warriors has rescued more than 2,000 dogs and paired nearly 1,100 Veterans with lifesaving service dogs.

Learn how this industry leader has made their booth a must-visit at North America’s largest roofing and exteriors event! 

The 2025 International Roofing Expo is visiting the Lone Star state this February 19 to 21! With over 60 education sessions to attend on everything from legal advice to sustainability initiatives and over 600 suppliers on the trade floor showcasing thousands of industry-leading innovations, this is the largest roofing and exteriors event in North America!  

The Coffee Shops™ crew will be in attendance, hosting our soundstage and exhibiting in the Lobby at the Henry B. González Convention Center! Our crew can’t wait to see friends, new and old, and explore the rest of the trade show floor between interviews and education sessions. One booth we know we want to stop by is Beacon Building Products! Beacon will be over by the Exteriors Pavillion in Booth #4023 and their booth never disappoints! Texans are fond of the saying “go big or go home,” and Beacon takes that message to heart every year with their annual giveaway.  

In 2023, Beacon honored the IRE location of Dallas, Texas with an incredible custom hat giveaway. These hats were custom fit to attendees at the show and had everyone walking away in style. Just last year, they celebrated Super Bowl LVIII with an incredible hard hat giveaway! Winners of the giveaway got the perfect hard hat to support their favorite team and stay safe on the job at the same time. In addition to the big giveaway, they brought a fun collection of swag, including a LEGO Beacon truck that The Coffee Shops™ own James Ellsworth had a good time putting together!
