The KRA collectively represents the voice of the roofing and waterproofing industry in Kansas.

RoofersCoffeeShop, the award-winning place where the industry meets for technology, information, and everyday business, is pleased to welcome Kansas Roofing Association. The Kansas Roofing Association was formed to focus on the challenges and opportunities for roofing professionals in the state of Kansas.

KRA’s mission is to help its members operate successfully by providing up-to-date continuing education, industry contacts, consumer help, networking opportunities and a forum for public and governmental relations.

The association provides invaluable resources for roofing contractors in the state of Kansas and the surrounding area, including making it easy for contractors to contact their legislators and they have a governmental affairs person who summarizes and provides legislative reports on issues that affect contractors. Their website provides easy access to OSHA and other regulatory literature and documentation.

The association also provides opportunities for networking and learning through events including golf outings, receptions and clay shoots. Educational seminars are held on a regular basis at different locations around the state. The fall seminar presents a great opportunity to obtain industry specific JoCo CEU’s (8 hours) all in one day.

KRA’s website offers a place for consumers to find information and about how to select roofing contractors, how to know if a roof is ready to be re-roofed and explains why its important to choose a contractor who is a member of KRA. They can also access a list of roofing contractor members and there is a convenient link to the Kansas roofing registry allows visitors to verify that a contractor is registered with the state.

COVID-19 Update from Kansas Roofing Association

It's been a very business as UN-usual the past two weeks! Companies and employees across the country are making difficult decisions about how to maneuver in a very different landscape.

We know you are getting inundated with emails regarding COVID-19 resources, information, guidance, etc. Instead of emailing you frequently we will endeavor to keep the COVID-19 Resource & Information page on the KRA website as up-to-date as possible.

KRA staff and leadership have had verbal and written discussions with Governor Kelly's office as well as various Kansas and Missouri municipalities to verify and ensure that roofing contractors can continue to work through the various "Safe at Home" orders. Without exception, to this point, roofing is being considered an "essential service" or "essential business".

We know that with members and connections in all areas of the state and beyond that you may be experiencing something totally different than companies in other locations. If you have questions, need additional information, are searching for clarification or want to pass along any experiences that you're having in your particular location, let us know.
