<p>We&rsquo;re thrilled to announce that our R-Club Roofer of the Month for October 2025 is <a href="https://www.rooferscoffeeshop.com/directory/weathershield-roofing-sheetmetal">WeatherShield Roofing and Sheetmetal</a>! They are a roofing company operating out of Aledo, Texas with a special focus on helping rebuild and repair in the aftermath of storms. To learn more about the company, Alex Tolle sat down with Justin Slevin, the director of commercial sales at WeatherShield <a href="https://www.rooferscoffeeshop.com/podcast/weathershield-roofing">for a quick interview</a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Justin opened the conversation by sharing a bit about the work they do at WeatherShield, saying, &ldquo;We&rsquo;ve been around since 2008 and are mainly focused on disaster recovery type and emergency service type projects... We respond very quickly after disasters, we understand the urgency to that. And we take that urgency even into our traditional projects. So, that is one of the things that sets us apart.&rdquo; Today, they work coast to coast and have even tackled some international projects in Mexico and Puerto Rico.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When asked about how they grew to be so successful, Justin credited their close-knit team. He shared, &ldquo;We have a really strong team of people that really make this company special and it takes every one of us to get to where we&#39;re at and where we&#39;re headed.&rdquo; The key to creating that incredible team is more than being good coworkers, it&rsquo;s making an effort to be there for each other. Justin explained, &ldquo;We cookout together on Friday&rsquo;s sometimes, Rudy Gonzalez often hosts. And at these cookouts we celebrate our wins and discuss our losses... At the end of the day, we really care about each other and that leads to wins on the job site.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>

<p>A great example of how this close-knit culture leads to success is a recent project WeatherShield did for a local school district. Justin explained, &ldquo;It&rsquo;s actually the district my wife graduated from along with 17 other kids. So it&rsquo;s a very small school district and it got hit by a tornado. And we knew we could help, so Cole Thompson (another WeatherShield VP) and I walked the roof and developed a plan to get them back to operational status for their 2025/26 school year.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>

<p>As the ball got rolling on the project, tragedy hit the WeatherShield team in the form of the loss of Cole to a heart attack. Justin shared about how the team came together in that moment, sharing, &ldquo;It was and still is a huge hit for us. But through it all, we kept coming back to the school project and how much he loved those types of jobs. He was so proud to land that job.&rdquo; And their team ended up making it happen, getting the school set up for kids to come back in the fall. Justin reflected, &ldquo;It was an extremely challenging time, but we learned a lot about who we are as a company during that time, not just because of that project, but because of how Cole&rsquo;s passion acted as a spark of energy for us during darkness. It really showed us that we&#39;re capable of doing anything.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>
