Viking Products Group definitely isn't your mother’s product supplier. As Steven Lane, director of marketing for Viking Products Group, tells RoofersCoffeeShop® in an interview that Viking Products is all about bucking the status quo to find what is truly innovative in the industry.

“One of the things that we try to do with the assortment that we make available is create those three or four products maybe that you keep on your truck at all times that allow you to address a wide range of issues that you're going to see on a roof and have those go to products so that you can save the time that you'd be spending behind the wheel otherwise,” says Steven. “What we've been able to do for a lot of our contractors is offer them resilience, give them that plan B so that when they need to have somebody that they trust, that go-to resource of, ‘I know Viking's going to have it.’”
Part of that innovation includes Viking’s decision to start an e-commerce site where contractors can buy their products direct. Like all of their innovative product offerings, this arose from listening to the contractor and what they want, be it 24/7 availability or the chance to sample and try products before you invest in them.
“What e-commerce does is it allows us to very quickly fulfill orders for those free samples...but you can also order a smaller quantity that will enable you to really understand what the opportunity is and kind of trial something out before you go with a larger quantity,” says Steven. "If you think about a contractor's business, when you lose time and money is when you have to be shuttling back and forth to the supply house.”
