Position Summary
As the Product Manager you will interact with all areas of the division to aide in product positioning and understanding of the product segments sold from specified business locations. This position requires a high level of teamwork and cross-functional interaction. Significant interaction is required in the areas of end user experience, marketing, sales, operations, engineering, and supply chain. Activities include involvement and/or leading in, VA/VE activities, NPD, marketing tactics, sales support, price and margin analysis, and product line strategies. To help support the sale of existing and new products, you will be engaging and interacting current and future customers, end users and discussions with customers, as well as insight gained from sales reps, trade shows and industry events will enable you to understand the competitive landscape. You will use this insight to guide and influence key decisions on your products. The success of this position will be measured by project execution that delivers planned variable income for the category. In addition, this role is responsible for development and maintenance of the product architecture.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning process and execution of product segment plans for the assigned business unit(s)
- This is done with consumer trends in mind, with an awareness of competitor activity, and with a knowledge of business unit capabilities and competencies.
- Oversee successful execution of marketing plans.
- Identify incremental opportunities to increase volume and profit (e.g., cost savings, distribution, sku rationalization, etc.).
Execute Key Tactics
- Lead VOC insights by conducting trade focus and end user activity/engagement
- Launch or relaunch new products per the plan by leading cross-functional teams toward stated objectives.
- Evaluate packaging opportunities, identifying potential improvements (package sizes, single serve, environmentally friendly, convenience features, etc.) and leading the process of change.
- Establish target "pricing ranges" by product.
- SKU rationalization as necessary to improve product assortment and engagement.
- Work with sales to develop key customer presentations and support materials.
- Work effectively within the marketing and product management team to aid in the success of brands and segments outside "line of sight" responsibilities.
- Utilize syndicated data to identify emerging consumer trends relative to products.
- Develop presentations and selling aids that equip our sales partner with powerful selling stories.

What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or other related field and at least 5 years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management or related technical field or a combination of education and experience.
Skills/Knowledge Required
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Conduct end user research by performing trade focus and end user insight activities. This includes a comfort level being on job sites working with end users.
- Ability to lead cross functional teams through project execution to drive results
- Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
