Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery – No, not this time.

I just looked at INSERT NAME HERE’s roof measurement advertisement in a current roofing magazine.  Anyone notice how similar it looks to an EagleView report. Even the blue accents.  Tsk Tsk Tsk – looks like someone has copy-cat-itis.   It got me thinking a long time ago someone copied the old Roofers Exchange even copying the classified ads in my publication for their promotional materials – they couldn’t even think up an ad?  They ultimately failed because you can’t be truly innovative when you copy.   I think when you copy something you don’t know the motivation or understanding of why it was created that way.  It’s kind of like building a house to look just like the house next door but you are just guessing at what the foundation is built like.
