W. P. Hickman Company offers ANSI/SPRI ES-1 Tested Continuous Cleat Coping System
Asheville, NC - The W. P. Hickman Company has added Continuous Cleat Coping to its line of engineered roof edge products. Continuous Cleat Coping is a highly wind-resistant, waterproof coping system that is designed to be maintenance-free with concealed splice plates and no exposed fasteners. Hickman Continuous Cleat Coping carries a 20-year, 110 mph Excel warranty and has been tested in accordance with ANSI/SPRI ES-1 as required by International Building Code.
The coping system combines a 20-gauge continuous anchor cleat at the parapet face with an intermittent anchor clip at the roof side. A snap-on cover conceals fasteners for a cleaner appearance and allows for full thermal movement, improving performance and reducing oil-canning. Concealed splices with a built-in gutter channel create weather-tight, dry splices without the need for caulking. This design reduces installation time and mess, providing a maintenance-free coping system.
Product features include pre-punched, slotted fastener holes in the cleat for proper fastener spacing, further allowing for thermal expansion and contraction and quick installation. Stainless steel fasteners are included to assure proper, as tested, performance and eliminates corrosion or galvanic incompatibility. Factory fabricated accessories such as miters, tees, and end caps are also available to help create a high quality finished appearance and reduce field labor. For radius conditions, the coping is made specifically to field conditions in a true unsegmented radius, providing a custom fit for superior aesthetics. Hickman Continuous Cleat Coping is available in .050" or .063" aluminum or 24 gauge galvanized steel with Kynar coating in a variety of standard or custom colors. Additional custom metals or finishes are also available.
