Spending 30 years as a contractor, Bilgin owner Bill Tracy understood the need for an effective and safe way to secure the ladder, protect the customer's property and reduce accident and compensation claims. In 2006 Bill teamed with experts in manufacturing to create the Bilgin Roof Dock. Roof Dock is laid into the gutter and permanently screwed into the house. The piece is 1/8" thick custom extrusion aluminum trough. The tough is designed to stay 1/4" of an inch from the gutter profile and strong enough to prevent crushing. The end caps & pre-filter grate is 3/16" thick aluminum plate. The end caps also have slots designed to accommodate the hooks of bungee cords. When used, it completely secures the ladder to the roof docking station. An additional benefit is the docking systems also protect gutters from being crushed or scratched.
The perfect place for the Bilgin Roof Dock is at the low end of the gutters, next to the downspout. The pre-filter grate function reduces the amount of large debris allowed to reach the downspout. This placement also allows you or the homeowner to have the ideal location for safe roof access or to simply clean out the gutters. Utilize the Roof Dock with gutter guards by simply cutting slots for the ladder support ends. It looks great without sacrificing the integrity of the gutter guards.
