North Texas Roofing Contractors Association to Hold Tenth Annual Gala and Awards Banquet January 30, 2010
FORT WORTH, Texas - The North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA), a regional association for residential and commercial roofing contractors, distributors, manufacturers and associates who maintain the highest industry standards, will hold its tenth annual awards banquet and gala on January 30, 2010, to honor those who have made significant contributions to the local roofing industry and recognize outstanding projects. This year's gala and banquet, with a "Viva Las Vegas" theme, will be held at Hilton DFW Lakes, located at 1800 Highway 26 East in Grapevine beginning at 6:30 p.m. It will include dinner, dancing, award presentations, entertainment, casino games and raffles.
NTRCA will also present its 2010 Golden Hammer Awards during the evening, to recognize outstanding roofing projects. Entries are judged each year on logistical challenges, quality workmanship, uniqueness, difficulty, time constraints, innovative solutions and safety challenges.
Contractors selected to win the 2010 Golden Hammer Award for Community Service Projects this year are:
- Post Company for the Beautiful Feet Ministries
- Bert Roofing, Inc., Pitts Roofing Company, Inc., and HEC Roofing Company for their work with the NFL Retired Players Association.
Commercial Contractors winning the 2010 Golden Hammer Award this year are:
- Supreme Systems, Inc. for its work with Bureau of Engraving & Printing
- Castro Roofing of Texas, LP for its work done on Hall of State
- KPost Company for its project with Reunion Tower
Residential Contractors being awarded a 2010 Golden Hammer Award this year are:
- Texas Tile Roofing for its work with Ultimate Green Friendly Roof
- Pitts Roofing Company, Inc. for its Vogt re-roofing project
Additionally, outgoing NTRCA board president Tim Rainey will be honored during the evening for his service to the industry, including significant strides he championed during 2009 to address the growing theft problem the roofing industry is facing. Under his leadership, NTRCA gained media attention to shine a light on this problem, partnered with Crime Stoppers to implement a reward and joined forces with the Lumberman's Association of Texas and Louisiana (LAT) to create a crime task force that includes leaders of NTRCA and LAT, contractors, distributors, state organizations, local police departments, manufacturers, Crime Stoppers and insurance and security experts.
During the event, the NTRCA 2010 Board of Directors and this year's "Associate of the Year" and "Industry Leader" award winners will also be announced.
