Drexel Metals LLC Poised for Growth with Board Additions
Philadelphia, Pa. - Drexel Metals LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Araten and Michael Allen to its board of directors. As Drexel Metals continues to execute on its growth plan, it has secured knowledgeable growth oriented executives to guide its strategic direction.
Michael Araten is the President and CEO of K'NEX Brands, L.P. Mr. Araten joined K'NEX and the Rodon Group in May, 2005 to serve as their Vice President and General Counsel, became President and COO in January, 2006 and assumed his present position in January 2009.
Prior to joining K'NEX and Rodon, Mr. Araten served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Counsel to O'Neill Properties Group, as well as Chief Litigation Counsel to Toll Brothers, Inc. In those capacities, Mr. Araten was responsible for risk management, regulatory approvals, human resource issues and the management of over 100 law firms in 21 states. Mr. Araten also formed numerous joint ventures, led due diligence and acquisition teams, and obtained land development approvals that created over 3 billion ($3 billion) in new home sales and land value.
Mr. Araten holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University, and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Michael Allen is Founding Principal and Managing Director of Allen Associates Executive Search. Allen Associates focuses on top level recruiting and succession planning for clients associated with building materials, branded consumer products, and private equity portfolio companies.
Mr. Allen is widely regarded as an industry thought leader and has personally completed 550 executive searches at the officer-CEO level. Michael is a source of contribution for business and trade publications and has been interviewed and profiled in; Yahoo! Finance, Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, Business Courier, Executive Recruiter News, and U.S. News & World Report.
Prior to his career in the search industry he was SVP-Sales & Marketing for Lakeview Corporation, a privately held building products producer.
