KANSAS CITY, Kan. - DaVinci Roofscapes has launched a new inline color process called DaVinci VariBlend. Available in DaVinci’s Bellaforte, Valore Shake and Valore Slate product lines, DaVinci VariBlend tiles include slight variations of grays, greens and browns crafted into each tile to provide a subtle blend for any roof.
In the Bellaforte product line, VariBlends are available in Verde with varying hues of green, and in Villa, which uses multiple hues of gray to provide the classic slate look. The recently-introduced self-aligning Bellaforte 12-inch slate profile also includes several patented features, such as an integrated rain gutter, leading edge tab and rain dam. Bellaforté roofing tiles use a third less material than traditional synthetic and natural slate shingles, saving resources and reducing the tile weight. A square of Bellaforté roofing tile weighs just 185 pounds, helping reduce both installation time and landfill load due to reduced construction waste.
In the Valore product line, VariBlend options include Verde and Villa in the 12-inch wide Valore Slate roofing tiles. The nine-inch wide Valore Shake roofing tile, which has the appearance of hand-split cedar shake, offers the widest variety of VariBlend options, including: Tuscano, Espresso, Abruzzo and Verona.
"The VariBlend color gradation manufacturing process allows 'shades' of color to be created from time to tile," says Ray Rosewall, president and CEO of DaVinci Roofscapes. "We can achieve this in a way that eliminates the need to blend the different colored tiles after molding, which allows us to bundle the tiles as they come off the manufacturing line. That’s a cost savings we are passing on in order to keep the Valore and Bellaforte price points low and appealing. At the same time, purchasers are gaining a color blended look in these products for the roof. That’s a win-win situation for the installers and the homeowners."
