ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - B&M Construction owners Jerry and Christina Barfield's success continues to grow as they are awarded the Chamber of Commerce "2009 Small Business Award", The award recognizes employee growth, innovation, increased sales volume, staying power and community involvement.
The company was founded in 1998 in the owner's basement in Nashville with a 5 man crew. This local firm began with one man's dedication to providing quality residential roofing services to citizens of the Tri-County area. The company has had several expansions over the past 10 years and in 2008 Christina and Jerry Barfield’s roofing business relocated to a new 55,000 sq ft facility on North Church Street in Rocky Mount, the premises incorporate a welcoming reception area, sales and conference rooms, offices and workshops.
The construction industry has been hit hard by the challenging economic times but with quality workmanship and products that stand the test of time this local roofing company has experienced an average annual sales growth of 35% and an employee growth of 20%.
