North Texas Roofing Contractors Association to Hold Annual Gala and Awards Banquet February 7, 2009

Fort Worth, TX - January 29, 2009 - The North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA), a regional association for residential and commercial roofing contractors who maintain the highest industry standards, will hold its ninth annual awards banquet and gala on February 7, 2009, to honor those who have made significant contributions to the local roofing industry and recognize outstanding projects. During the event, this year's "Associate of the Year" and "Industry Leader" award winners will be announced.

Additionally, a special presentation will highlight The Women's Center roofing project. NTRCA adopted The Women's Center (TWC) as a philanthropy project in 2008 and raised over $45,000 to help provide a roof for TWC's new headquarters, scheduled to open in late February. In addition to raising funds, the following NTRCA members also donated products, services and/or labor for the project:  Bradco Supply, Empire Roofing, Empire Disposal, Firestone/C-CAP, Hunter Panels, Mid South Lumber, Olympic Fasteners, Supreme Systems, Triangle Fasteners and US Ply.

NTRCA will also recognize outstanding roofing projects with their Golden Hammer Awards. Commercial contractors winning the Golden Hammer Award are: Castro Roofing of Texas, L.P. for the work done on the Cedar Hill Municipal Government Center; KPost Company for the work done on Southwest Airlines Headquarters and Data Center Facilities; and Supreme Systems for the roof replacement work done on Union Station.

Residential contractors winning the Golden Hammer Award are Bert Roofing for the Hillview House project; Ramon Roofing for the Palko Residence project; and Texas Tile Roofing for the J. Lambert project.

Roofing contractors will also be honored with Golden Hammer Awards for outstanding community service projects. Bert Roofing and Pitts Roofing Company, Inc. will be honored for their work with the NFL Players Association to install an Owens Corning roof system on a new home the NFL Players Association built in south Dallas; Frazier Roofing & Guttering will be honored for its Habitat for Humanity project, roofing over 38 houses in Fort Worth, Mansfield, Forest Hill, Alvarado, and Bridgeport; and K Post Company will be honored for its North Dallas Shared Ministries (NDSM) project.
