GCI Introduces Roof Asset Management Division

West Palm Beach, Fla. -  Glazing Consultants International, LLC (GCI) is taking its industry-leading building envelope services to a new level: the roof. The company is pleased to introduce its new Roof Asset Management division, created to help building owners maximize their investments and extend the lives of their roofs.

"Roofs can constitute up to 50 percent of a total building surface and represent up to 25 percent of the total building value," says William Lovsey, consultant and manager of the new Roof Asset Management division of GCI. "Our job is to help owners protect and extend the life of that investment."

GCI's Roof Asset Management division offers a full slate of services to help optimize roof performance and allow for roof replacement, retrofit, repair or restoration on a planned basis, rather than in reaction to a crisis. The division's services provide owners with ongoing roof inspections, reports, maintenance and repair.  Initial services in the plan include a visual and photo survey of roof conditions with written report, CAD drawing of roof, establishment of plan for upcoming maintenance or repair, development of a life cycle budget cost and set up of a client accessible roof management database. Ongoing services include inspections, reports and updates to the plans on a semi-annual or annual basis.

"These services can have a tremendous impact on long-term roofing costs," says Paul Beers, president of GCI.  "In fact, our services could extend the life of a roof from 15 to 25 years, which translates into significant cost savings." Roof Asset Management is also a reliable resource if emergencies arise.  The team has the experience and expertise to identify problems and oversee immediate repairs.  The consultants are also available to assist with roof replacement, providing project coordination and quality control inspections. GCI's new Roof Asset Management division is being led by William Lovsey, an expert in roof management services with more than 20 years of experience in the industry.
