2010 International Roofing Expo Moves to the Big Easy
DALLAS - After four back-to-back shows in Las Vegas, the 2010 International Roofing Expo is moving to the Big Easy. The 2010 International Roofing Expo will take place February 22-24 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana USA.
To strengthen the show and meet the needs of the industry, extensive research was conducted in order to choose the best possible location for the event. Attendees and exhibitors both had an overwhelming positive response to moving the event to New Orleans.
"The International Roofing Expo has been held in Las Vegas for several years now, so we feel the time is right to make a move and add some freshness to the event," said Donna Bellantone, Director of the Expo. "New Orleans is a perfect match for our customers."
New Orleans is a convenient hub for national and international transportation, as close to being the "center" of the country as any American city. "New Orleans is more centrally located to pull attendees from the South, the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic states," said Bellantone.
"Hosting the show in New Orleans is a positive move," added Bill Good, Executive Vice President of NRCA, the show's official sponsor. "The new host city will offer fresh, new and exciting elements. I encourage all of our members to embrace the move."
The show will take place in the D & E Halls at the Morial Convention Center, named for the late New Orleans mayor who championed its construction. Built on some of the highest ground in New Orleans, the Convention Center experienced minimal damage when Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast region in August 2005.
The 2010 Expo will showcase the latest products, materials, equipment and services relevant to the roofing construction and maintenance industry. The event will attract a worldwide audience of more than 7,500 commercial, residential and metal roofing contractors, owners/CEOs/general managers, superintendents/foremen, architects/designers/consultants, salesmen/estimators, manufacturers/ suppliers and building owners/facility managers.
The show's educational conference will feature 43 sessions focusing on technical, workplace safety, leadership/management, green building, legal/HR, money matters, sales/service and general business.
